Emeral Valley
Located in Shancha Village, Tangkou Town, within the Huangshan District, Emerald Valley—also known as Lover Valley—is the longest valley in the East Sea Scenic Area of Mount Huangshan, stretching 6 kilometers along the terraced mountainside.
The valley gets its name from the dazzling jade-green pools that dot the landscape. As sunlight shifts, the water transforms through countless shades of green, creating a mesmerizing kaleidoscope of color. The Biyu (Jade) Stream, which flows through the valley, originates from the Liandan, Shixin, and Tiannu peaks.
Surrounded by steep cliffs, Emerald Valley is filled with oddly shaped rocks and caves. Notable scenic spots include Lion-Headed Rock, Clam Beach, Guantiandong (Watching Sky Cave), Overlapping Jade Rock, Frolic Rock, Crawling Cave, and Crane Dancing Rock. But the true highlights are the roughly 100 pools of varying shapes and sizes, each glowing with brilliant green hues.
Adding to the breathtaking scenery, cascading waterfalls and lush bamboo forests create a perfect harmony of nature's beauty. Whether you're a nature lover, photographer, or couple seeking romance, Emerald Valley is an unforgettable stop on any Huangshan itinerary.
